The CFO collaborates with the CEO and other executive and senior managers to develop, recommend and implement business plans, products, interest rates and fees that support the board of directors’ long-term strategic objectives and vision.
Responsibilities
- oversee the financial functions of the institution
- responsible for overall management of general ledger and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- present monthly reports to the board and senior management
- present and defend financial reporting decisions to the board, senior management, auditors and regulators
- chair Asset Liability Committee and Allowance for Credit Losses Committee
- manage institution’s liquidity and investment activities in compliance with policies, capital management plan, pension plan, BOLI, correspondent banking relationships and insurance coverage other than personnel
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
- 5-10+ years in progressively responsible accounting and finance leadership roles in the banking field

Collateral Review Analyst
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines is hiring a collateral review analyst to join its team. This position is a remote opportunity based in Missouri and will require some travel across the state. The analyst is responsible for performing the bank’s field review process, including verifying the existence and eligibility of loans pledged to the Bank as collateral in accordance with Bank and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
- perform member collateral verifications on depository members with guidance as necessary, depending on the complexity of the review in accordance with departmental processes, procedures and controls
- assist depository members and/or relationship managers with questions and/or concerns about pledged loan collateral or other FHLB matters
- assist on special projects affecting departmental objectives and/or FHLB strategic initiatives
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent work experience; business law and/or real estate law course work is a plus
- knowledge of real-estate backed loans, including underwriting and documentation standards, valuation methodologies, loan servicing and monitoring practices; knowledge of business loans a plus
- 3-5 years in mortgage/banking industry in a role such as underwriter or loan originator with knowledge of single-family residential loans and documentation; experience with commercial real estate and business loans a plus

Senior Credit Analyst
Midwest Independent BankersBank in Jefferson City is hiring an experienced senior credit analyst to provide analytical and administrative support for credit review of all loans. The senior credit analyst will analyze loans based on a variety of issues such as the financial strength of the credit, collateral valuations and compliance with bank and regulatory policies and procedures. This position also helps lead the credit analyst team and works directly with the chief lending officer.
Responsibilities

prepare loan proposals for loan officer and committee review and approval
- ensure all loan file documentation is complete in conjunction with credit reviews
- actively participate and communicate in the team-based work groups that make up the credit department and take an active role in driving quality improvements, processes and initiatives
- prepare various monthly and quarterly reports for the board of directors and loan review
- make recommendations to loan committee for loan risk ratings
- advise and recommend changes to loan policies and procedures
- order and review commercial appraisals to ensure they are acceptable per loan policy guidelines
- analyze financial statements and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of theories, laws and policies governing commercial credit, commercial banking and banking policies
- create comprehensive and concise analyses of the risks and mitigations associated with complex commercial loan requests by reviewing and analyzing the borrower's and guarantor’s financial statements, including income statements, cash flow statements, balance sheets, tax returns, personal financial statements and collateral appraisal reports
- provide quarterly analysis for the bank’s fed fund borrowing lines, the allowance for credit losses/CECL and loan portfolio stress testing
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in business or finance, accounting preferred; other majors with a business minor also acceptable or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years prior experience in credit analysis, banking or bank regulatory agency
