Human Resources Officer
Midwest Independent BankersBank in Jefferson City is hiring an experienced, people-centered human resources officer to join its team and provide oversight for all human resource functions.
Responsibilities
- Leadership
- develop and execute HR strategies that support the organization’s mission and values
- advise leadership on HR matters, culture, and engagement
- lead HR initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and ethical workplace
- Talent Acquisition and Staffing
- oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding and retention strategies
- implement onboarding processes that promote early engagement from applicant status and throughout the employment cycle
- Employee Relations and Culture
- provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance concerns, conflict resolution and corrective actions
- manage investigations, corrective actions and disciplinary processes as needed
- coordinate employee recognition programs including service awards, employee of the quarter, employee of the year and employee appreciation week activities
- coordinate various special events, as well as employee lunch and learn programs
- Compensation and Benefits
- administer the benefits program including health, dental, vision, COBRA, workers comp, 401k plan, cafeteria plan, EAP, etc.
- partner with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and benefits renewal review
- manage compensation structures, job evaluations, salary surveys
- oversee payroll administration
- administer the deferred compensation program; prepare quarterly and annual reports for the board of directors
- Compliance and Risk Management
- ensure full compliance with federal and all applicable state laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.) and HR-related bank regulations
- maintain and update HR policies, procedures and employee handbook
- prepare documents, data and information to support internal and external HR-related audits
- oversee accurate reporting for regulatory and internal reporting requirements
- ensure compliance with employee required training
- Performance Management and Development
- lead the performance management process, including performance reviews and documentation
- administer the tuition reimbursement program that supports employee development
- HR Operations
- oversee HRIS administration, data integrity and reporting
- manage HR vendor relationships, contracts and service quality
- responsible for overseeing the processing of monthly invoices and reconciliations
- supervise payroll and benefits specialist
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field
- minimum of five years of progressive HR experience in developing, implementing, and managing HR programs, benefits, compensation program, the payroll function, negotiating and contracting with vendors
- strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- experience with HRIS systems
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred

Commercial Loan Officer
Responsibilities
- attract new business and expand current commercial banking relationships
- primarily CRE, including construction loans
- secondarily C & I loans
- in coordination with credit analyst originate, underwrite and close various types of secured loans in accordance with established lending objectives, policies and procedures
- implement programs to attract new customers in the business community to drive loan and deposit growth
- assist with participating, sourcing and funding CRA loans
- review and present to loan committee new loan proposals and renewals

Credit Analyst
Responsibilities
- assess the creditworthiness of applicants across various loan types, including commercial real estate, and other commercial loans
- analyze financial statements, tax returns and cash flow to identify repayment capacity, financial trends, debt service coverage ratios, global cash flow and personal cash flow analysis and prepare peer performance year over year
- prepare detailed credit presentations that highlight the strengths, weaknesses and risks of each loan relationship, provide collateral evaluations and loan-to-value calculations and recommend appropriate risk ratings
- work closely with both the commercial lenders and the commercial borrowers to ensure accuracy and efficiencies in the underwriting process
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree with a focus on finance, accounting or economics

Finance and Business Analyst

Responsibilities
- compile, analyze and interpret company financial and operational data and results to provide meaningful information to management and drive business decisions
- assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, management reports and annual internal/external audits, regulatory exams, etc.
- assist with the preparation, review and analysis of annual budgets
- participate in new initiatives and upgrades for company software platforms, operating systems and reporting modules
- participate in various committees including assets and liability (ALCO), compliance, business continuity and liquidity and capital strategic planning
- assist with the investment activities of all MIB entities
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 4+ years of financial analysis, accounting or related experience required
- finance, audit and/or regulatory experience in the banking industry a plus
- Certified Public Accountant license a plus
