Controller/General Accounting Manager

The controller/general accounting manager will lead the bank’s accounting professionals in their day-to-day activities.

  • Responsibilities
    • supervise direct reports in preparing financial reports and month-end activities
    • manage accounts payable process
    • ensure all regulatory and tax reporting is filed accurately and timely
    • balance monthly accounts, including prepaid assets and accrued expenses
    • prepare various financial reports for the board of directors
    • review daily balance sheet, income statement and posted transactions
    • reconcile internal bank accounts
    • maintain pledging for repos, FHLB borrowings and public funds
    • monitor and supervise orders for cash supply
    • oversee the daily reconciliations for all due-from accounts
  • Requirements
    • bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field or equivalent work experience
    • working knowledge of financial accounting and generally accepted accounting principles
    • strong computer-based accounting and business information systems experience, preferably in a banking environment
    • working knowledge of all bank-related departments
