Sen. Caleb Rowden was elected to the Missouri Senate in 2016, representing Boone and Cooper counties. Before his election to the Senate, Rowden served two terms in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was first elected to the Missouri House in 2012, becoming the first representative in the history of Missouri to beat two former state senators in a Missouri House race.

He is a fifth generation Missourian raised in the Bootheel, and he currently lives on the same farm where he grew up and learned how to farm.

Sen. Sandy Crawford represents District 28, which is comprised of Benton, Cedar, Dallas, Hickory, Laclede, Pettis, Polk and St. Clair counties. Crawford was elected to the Missouri Senate in August 2017. She served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2010 to 2017.

Sen. John Joseph Rizzo represents Independence, Sugar Creek and northeast Kansas City within Jackson County (District 11). He was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives to his first two-year term in November 2010. He was elected by the House Democratic Caucus to the position of minority whip in 2013 and again in 2015. He was elected to the Missouri Senate in November 2016.

Sen. Steven Roberts was sworn into office on Jan. 6, 2021, to serve the people of the 5th District and selected as the Democratic whip for the minority caucus. He previously served two terms in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2017 to 2020. While in the House, he was selected by his colleagues to serve as chairman of the Missouri Legislative Black Caucus.
