From the moment his tiny fingers struck the keys of his grandmother’s piano, Nico Krehmeyer has always wanted to play music.
“I remember reaching up to my grandma Sharon’s piano at her house and wanted to play music,” he said. “It was sort of pre-programmed in me I guess, and I’ve carried it forward ever since.”
He’s still tapping away at keyboards, both in his professional and personal life, as he shares his talents with others. A self-taught pianist, Nico has composed 40 songs.
“I love sitting at the piano and creating new melodies and chord structures and bringing ideas into the world,” he said.

The Bank of Missouri, Perryville
Sometimes, there’s no explanation of how events transpire in our lives.
Kristen Ziegler chatted with her daughter about their normal routine — college, work, friends — a typical conversation in catching up with one another. During the conversation, Ziegler told her daughter that she felt compelled to write a book. Both laughed at the idea.
“It was the most random thought that popped up out of nowhere,” said Ziegler, chief human resources officer for The Bank of Missouri in Perryville.
Yet, the thought lingered for Ziegler. Over the following weeks, she would mention to her daughter again about this “strange pull” to write a book.
That feeling became reality a few days later when an acquaintance asked Ziegler to share her story for an anthology she was publishing. |

Wood & Huston Bank, Marshall
The vocations Jason Price has pursued in his life vary, but they all share a key aspect that guides him in his endeavors — service to others.
“If I can contribute in any way to make an organization better, then that’s what I should do,” said Price, vice president and commercial lender at Wood & Huston Bank in Marshall.
Price has followed this principle throughout his adult life, first as a high school agriculture teacher and coach and now as a community banker. However, it was another calling that fulfilled his desire to serve others.

You may not know Mark Ramsey. However, you may recognize his photography, especially if you have a Scenes of Missouri calendar from the Missouri Bankers Association.
Ramsey, president of County Bank in Brunswick, has had a photo featured in MBA’s calendar 16 times since 2009. The 2025 calendar marks his last photo for the calendar as Ramsey, who is celebrating 45 years in banking this October, will retire from banking later this year to pursue his passion — wildlife photography.
