Collateral Review Analyst

Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines seeks a collateral review analyst in St. Louis to join its team of professionals. The analyst performs the bank’s field review process and serves as a primary point of contact for members with loan collateral questions. The analyst will work from home and is expected to travel up to 80 percent of the time (Monday-Friday).

This individual will perform on-site and off-site loan collateral for member collateral verifications, ensure any MCVs not completed have received proper supervisor approval for deferral or waiver, manage or assist special projects affecting departmental objectives/bank strategic initiatives and manage departmental internal controls and regulatory issues.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in business or finance; a business law and/or real estate law course work is a plus. Candidates must have knowledge of mortgage and business loans, including underwriting and documentation standards, valuation methodologies and secondary loan markets, and servicing and monitoring practices. Individuals should have five or more years’ experience in the mortgage industry and knowledge of various loan types.

Credit Underwriter

The Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS), working in partnership with member school districts to provide retirement benefits to eligible members, in Jefferson City is seeking a credit underwriter. The credit underwriter will work within the Investment Department of PSRS/PEERS that manages more than $45 billion in assets. Duties include implementation and administration of policies and guidelines relating to the systems’ approved investment program. Specifically, this position will be responsible for underwriting private credit opportunities, performing financial statement and ratio analysis and reviewing loan documents.  

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or related field; master of business administration and/or CFA preferred. At least three years of institutional investment experience or at least three years of credit investment, credit underwriting or commercial lending experience required.
