Missouri School of Banking
The purpose of the School of Banking is to prepare mid-level and junior bank officers for their banking career by imparting a thorough understanding of banking and the interrelationship of each function. The two-year course of study encompasses 13 function areas and includes such topics as: macroeconomics, deposits and liabilities, trust services, cash management, marketing, lending, investments, asset and liability management, financial planning and control, bank financial analysis, bank operations, data processing, and human resource management.
A unique feature of this school is the Bank Exec Program. Students are introduced to a sophisticated computerized bank management simulation that provides the opportunity to make decisions relative to the bank’s profitability and success.
The Missouri School of Banking is held in January of each year.
Missouri School of Lending
The Missouri School of Lending was founded to provide mid-level bank officers and commercial loan officers a thorough understanding of commercial lending administration.
Topics covered at the school include: the external environment, typical business, company strategy, effective management, loan investigation, historical financial analysis, sensitivity analysis, loan support and documentation, loan pricing, problem loans, negotiations, credit discipline, and much more.
The Missouri School of Lending is held each year in March.
Missouri School of Compliance
The Missouri School of Compliance provides bank compliance officers an overview of federal consumer laws and regulations. The school provides new to intermediate compliance officers the basic tools to excel in their job and provides experienced compliance officers the opportunity to refresh and update their knowledge.
The school provides this information by focusing on compliance management, lending compliance and operations and deposit compliance.
ComplianceSchool is held each year during February.
Advanced Compliance School
This three-day program will provide a comprehensive study of why, what, and how of critical compliance topics focusing on current issues, recent changes, common problems and risk management solutions associated with compliance. It is designed for experienced professionals who require the most up-to-date information affecting their compliance function and who are looking for information beyond the basics. Attending participants will be involved with topical case studies, exercises and discussions.
