NextGen Leadership Award

The award recognizes the achievement, performance and community and industry involvement of a Missouri banker with 20 years or less of financial services experience. A selection committee approved by the Missouri Bankers Foundation reviews nominations and conducts in-person interviews at MBA’s office in September. The award will be presented at the NextGen Leadership Conference on Oct. 12-13 in Osage Beach. The winner receives $250, an engraved award and statewide recognition. The Missouri Bankers Foundation also makes a donation to the recipient’s chosen charity.

Banking Leadership Missouri

MBA’s Banking Leadership Missouri is a 12-month leadership development program designed to actively enhance the leadership, organizational and performance skills of highly motivated mid- to upper-level bankers. The program establishes a network of future bank leaders who understand and can respond to local and national issues affecting the banking industry and their communities.

Financial Literacy

NextGen members are encouraged to participate in financial literacy efforts around the state. Teach Children to Save Day in April and Get Smart About Credit Day in October are emphasized. However, teaching personal finance strategies to young children, high school students and adults has become a year-round challenge.

NextGen PAC

The MBA NextGen PAC is a nonpartisan, separate legal entity, organized by MBA to benefit the entire banking industry through political contributions to state candidates. This political action committee has been organized to provide financial support for the political committees and campaigns of candidates for the Missouri General Assembly whose views and positions on banking issues are compatible with the interests of our industry. This PAC provides the lawful means by which members of the Next Generation in Banking (bank officers and employees) can express their views and increase their political impact through a united, collective effort.
